The ancient city of Alexandria, Egypt, came alive from 13 to 17 August as athletes from 12 countries gathered for the U15 Tetrathlon World Championships.

Among these young talents was Outeniqua High School (Kwaggas) learner Minay Botha, who had the honour of being South Africa's sole representative at the event.
Competing with calm determination on the international stage, Minay advanced through the semifinals to reach the finals, where she claimed an impressive 11th place overall. Her performance came in the obstacle running event, where she clocked a blistering 35:00:00 - the sixth fastest time in the world.
