Nina's Café and Soete Nina's, two separate entities belonging to the same owners, are over the moon to have been nominated in the Best of George Readers' Choice Awards 2025. "It's everything to us," say owners Tasha and Wern van der Watt, "especially after nine years in the business. It's such a privilege to have been nominated!

As the first to open nine years ago, Nina's Café was an instant hit among George customers. It is a busy daytime restaurant where the whole family can relax and enjoy and have good food. This is possible thanks to the amazing play area for children, which is a huge drawcard. Here, kids entertain themselves while mom takes a well-deserved break.
"We have a unique menu with hearty food," says Tasha. "We are always the first with a new concept. We never stop starting - that is our motto!"
