Mufin Green Secures $18 Million from U.S. DFC to Power EV Financing for MSMES

In a major boost to India’s sustainable mobility ecosystem, Delhi-based Mufin Green Finance has raised $18 million in debt funding from the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). The strategic investment aims to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) financing and leasing for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across underserved and rural parts of the country.

The deal involves an immediate disbursement of $10 million, with the remaining $8 million to be released within the next year. Mufin plans to use the funds to scale its financing for electric two-, three-, and four-wheelers, as well as charging infrastructure and battery-swapping systems. Founded in 2016 by Kapil Garg, Mufin Green is India’s first listed NBFC focused solely on EV financing. The company operates across 26 states
