SC orders removal of stray dogs from schools, bus stops

The Supreme Court on Friday ordered complete removal of stray dogs from near educational institutions, bus, railway stations, sports facilities, directing that they be relocated to shelters after vaccination, sterilisation in accordance with Animal Birth Control Rules.
Justices Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta and NV Anjaria also ordered that the animals should not be released back to locations from which they came. “Permitting same would frustrate the very purpose of liberating such institutions from the presence of stray dogs,” SC sai
