Parliament Supreme, MPs Have Final Word on Legislation: V-P

DAYS AFTER HE warned against judicial overreach, saying the judiciary can't direct the President or act as "super Parliament", Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar Thursday emphasised that Parliament is supreme and elected representatives the final arbiters of the Constitution.
Addressing a Delhi University event to commemorate 75 years of the Constitution, Dhankhar said, "There is no visualisation in Constitution of any authority above Parliament... elected representatives... They are the ultimate masters as to what (the) Constitution content will be."
