OMAN HAS COMMITTED market access to 127 sub-sectors of services and substantial liberalisation of the mobility framework for Indian professionals under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed on Thursday.
Under the mobility part of the agreement, Indian companies will be allowed to deploy up to 50% of their workforce in Oman from India under the Intra-Corporate Transfer (ICT) route, up from the current limit of 20%. This will enable Indian firms to post a larger share of managerial, executive and specialist staff to their operations in Oman.
