DFS Secretary Urges Banks to Drive Innovation, Inclusion

M Nagaraju, Secretary of the department of financial services (DFS), urged the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) to foster innovation and inclusivity in the banking sector by promoting research and developing financial products tailored to the country's diverse needs.

Speaking at the IBA's annual general meeting, he stressed the importance of aligning more closely with the vision of Viksit Bharat, and urged the association to foster inclusion and sustainable growth.

He said Public sector banks (PSBs) are well-positioned to share best practices and collaborate on business and efficiency improvements due to their structural similarities.
