Zepto aims for bigger Q-comm pie with fee waiver

|November 02, 2025
IN AN ATTEMPT to race ahead in the intensely competitive quick commerce market, Zepto is using the price strategy by eliminating handling fees and surge charges across all orders irrespective of order value, while also waiving delivery charges on orders above ₹99.
The move comes as the company battles rivals Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart for market dominance in the rapidly growing sector.
Under Zepto’s new “All New Zepto Experience” initiative, customers pay zero handling fees, zero rain and surge fees on every order, and zero delivery charges once their cart crosses ₹99. For orders below $99, the company will continue to charge ₹30 as delivery fee. However, there won’t be any additional small cart fee applicable even on such orders. Notably, Zepto’s ₹99 threshold for free delivery is the lowest amongst competitors. The company has also eliminated convenience fee charged on cigarette and tobacco orders.
