STARTUPS IN THE online meat delivery segment have increasingly shifted from pure-play online models to omnichannel formats, as high delivery costs, cold chain investments and customer acquisition challenges weigh on profitability.

Against this backdrop, Chennai-based TenderCuts has reported a turnaround, becoming profitable after a restructuring that began in 2024.

Founded in 2016, TenderCuts had expanded rapidly in its early years but faced a severe financial crunch in 2023 amid rising operational costs and a funding slowdown.

The company was eventually sold to GoodToGo, a DelhiNCR-based meat delivery firm, allowing it to continue operations while accessing shared capabilities such as infrastructure and administrative processes. Both brands continue to operate separately.
