Sensex vaults 595 points as rally extends for 3rd session

Investors richer by *4.78L crore, biggest single-day rise since Sept 1

THE BENCHMARK INDICES surged 0.71% on Wednesday, marking their third consecutive day of gains, as US President Donald Trump’s comments on HI1-B visas, optimism over a potential India-US trade deal and the exit polls indicating an NDA victory in Bihar lifted the sentiment.

The Sensex advanced 595.19 points, or 0.71%, to close at 84,466.51, while the Nifty rose 180.85 points, or 0.70%, to 25,875.80.Cumulatively, over the past three sessions, the Sensex and Nifty have gained 1,250.23 points (1.50%) and 383.50 points (1.50%), respectively.
