CALLING PAKISTAN "AN irresponsible and a rogue nation", Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Thursday its "nuclear weapons should be placed under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)" since these are "not in safe hands".
Hailing the Indian Armed Forces for the precision strikes on terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under Operation Sindoor, Singh, who met troops at the Badami Bagh cantonment in Srinagar, said, "We will go to any extent to end terrorism." He said Pakistan has to "stop sheltering terrorists".
"Today, from the land of Srinagar, I ask the world this question: Are nuclear weapons safe in the hands of such an irresponsible and rogue nation? In my opinion, Pakistan's nuclear weapons should be placed under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)."
