EV charging stations to grow 4-fold in 2 years

BETWEEN 2023 AND 2025, India has seen a staggering 4x growth in public chargers for electric four-wheelers, reaching 24,000 charging stations across highways and urban centres by mid-2025.

According to the India Charging Report — 2025 by TATA.ev, in April 2023 the country had 5,500 electric four-wheeler charging stations. About 91% of national highways now offer fast charging at a radius of 50km or less, up from 60% two years ago.
