HIGHER PROVISIONS
INDIA'S BIGGEST COMPANIES set aside more than ~13,000 crore in the October-December 2025 quarter to account for the impact of the new Labour Codes.
These provisions were 3% or lower as a percentage of last financial year’s employee costs for major IT companies and private banks; for airline carrier IndiGo, it was 13%.
