South Indian Bank targets double-digit FY26 growth

SOUTH INDIAN BANK is poised for double-digit growth this financial year, with plans to expand asset books north of 12% and deposit growth to match, managing director and CEO PR Seshadri said.

The bank on Thursday reported a net profit of ₹322 crore for the quarter ended June, up from ₹294 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Seshadri emphasised the bank's intent to focus on MSME and retail segments, while strengthening its product mix to protect yields in a compressing margin environment. "Our growth will largely come from MSME and retail. Those are the areas where we want to double down and refocus. We are hoping that the credit card business can restart and we can get growth from there as well," Seshadri said.
