VC funding for chip design startups grows

CHIP DESIGN STARTUPS have begun attracting higher levels of venture capital as the country’s semiconductor ecosystem gradually takes shape, supported by policy initiatives, a deep engineering talent pool, and early signs of commercial progress in locally designed chips.

In recent weeks, several startups have secured fresh capital. On February 15, chip design startup C2i, founded by former Texas Instruments executives, raised $15 million in a Series A round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Yali Deeptech and TDK Ventures.
