More than £20k raised for family after canal death

A FUNDRAISER to support the family of a schoolboy and footballer who died after jumping into Exeter Canal has raised thousands of pounds.

Heavitree Youth FC has set up the GoFundMe in memory of 13-year-old Delvin Musakwa, who died after jumping into Exeter Canal on Monday, May 5.

Emotional tributes, including football shirts, footballs and hand-written messages, have also been left near the scene.

Delvin was part of the club's under-13s squad and has been described as one of their most talented players.

The club has organised the fundraiser for "one of our own" and to help his devastated family.
