I'm honoured to be asked to be patron

A FEW weeks ago, I had an email from a lady asking if I would be a patron for a new charity starting up in Devon, called Chemotivation.

Yes, you've guessed it, it's related to chemotherapy and, as someone who has a couple of friends currently undergoing this form of treatment, it sparked my interest.

In 2023, Marian Southwick's husband Rob, in his mid-60s, enjoying retirement, a bass guitarist and ukelele and bowls player in their home town of Hatherleigh, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Marian and Rob knew, without chemo, there would be no hope of him surviving. They were, she said, "dark days".
