Southgate: Backlash causing an issue for players

GARETH SOUTHGATE has warned that the atmosphere around England is in danger of turning toxic again.
Southgate had plastic beer cups thrown at him after the insipid 0-0 draw with Slovenia last night and the team was booed off at full-time.
The England manager said the reaction of angry fans is "creating an unusual environment" which is "causing an issue for the group".
