London braced for 32C Wednesday scorcher

LONDON is set to bask in temperatures of up to 32C this week as a "late dose of summer" hits - just as the school holidays end.
After a foggy start this morning, the mercury was due to reach 27C this afternoon before climbing to 28C tomorrow. Wednesday is expected to be the hottest day of the week in the capital, with temperatures predicted to hit 32C in London and parts of central and southern England.
The hot spell is forecast to continue throughout the week, with Thursday set to be 30C, followed by 29C on Friday and then 28C on Saturday and Sunday.
The midweek high could see the record for the hottest day of the year broken.
