Hockey players rally for world cup journey

Young hockey players in the Capital have appealed for support as they prepare to fly the flag for Scotland in Chile next month.

As part of the national U21 women's hockey team, eight players from Edinburgh and the Lothians will be representing their country at the FIH Junior World Cup in Santiago. It's the first time since 2005 that the Scottish team has qualified for the tournament.

A fundraising drive is underway to help cover the £20,000 cost of the trip ahead of their departure this week.
