Projects to mark new era of school

A motion has been raised in the Scottish Parliament to mark two projects under way at the current Dumfries High School before the transition into the new state-of-the-art building next April.
-
And it has prompted an appeal to former pupils and staff to contribute items-such as photographs and uniforms-and their thoughts, which can be included in a book and a film to commemorate the move.
The motion was raised by South Scotland MSP Craig Hoy, who recently called in at the school to present the parliamentary motion document to school captains Deya Slavova and Lucy Barr, and headteacher Phil Cubbon.
