Vital tree work will see nightly closures of A38

BUT NO WORK WILL TAKE PLACE OVER THE FESTIVE PERIOD

ONE of Derbyshire's busiest roads is set for nearly two months of closures as authorities work to remove a "potential safety risk" from near the route.

Various sections of the A38 will be closed from this week until January 30 as National Highways removes ash dieback from infected trees near the route.

Ash dieback is a destructive fungal disease of ash trees which causes leaf loss, dead branches and canopy decline.
