Top showing in county champs for Derby

DERBY Athletic Club's junior and senior runners once again triumphed in the Derbyshire county cross-country championships with a series of team and individual wins, as well as top placings.

Team success included first and second places in the under-15 girls’ and U15 boys’ races, as well as first in the U17 and U20 women’s races, and first in the U11 and U13 boys’ races.

Individual race victories came for strong-performing juniors Joyce Lenton (U13 girls), Olivia Lee (U15 girls), Harry Lees (U11 boys) and William Saunders (U13 boys), as well as Iris Clarke for the U20 women, Evelyn Jones for the senior women and Clive Toplass for the M65.
