OUTLET HAS GENERATED MORE THAN £13,000 FOR CITY COUNCIL

- By OSCAR FISHER

A POPUP shop where people can buy other people's rubbish from the tip has generated thousands of pounds of profit for Derby City Council, and is now set to be a permanent feature.

The Reuse Raynesway store launched as a series of popups back in spring last year, inviting people from around the city to donate and collect pre-loved goods.

It was opened by the council as it looked to deliver its pledge of building a “greener, fairer Derby’ and stocks a wide range of goods, similar to what you'd find in a charity shop - or even a vintage store. Items sold at the popup include toys, books, tools, furniture, home décor, kitchenware, electricals and seasonal items like garden furniture and Christmas decorations.
