Gladiators hit four to progress in Cup

MATLOCK Town have progressed in the FA Cup - but Ilkeston Town and Long Eaton United lost their first qualifying round ties.

The Gladiators reached the second qualifying round thanks to a 4-1 home win against Bottesford Town.
Cameron Wilson gave the hosts a 30th-minute lead but Bottesford were level at the break thanks to Jack McMenemy's 41st-minute close-range strike.
But it didn't take long in the second half for Ben Sault to restore Matlock’s lead in the 48th minute and it was 3-1 four minutes later when Harlain Mbayo headed home.
In the seventh minute of stoppage time, former Derby County forward Conor Washington applied the final touch to the win.
