Council will increase use of renewables to cut bills

EREWASH council is backing a new mission to ramp up the use of renewable energy sources to cut bills for residents, community groups and businesses - as the Iran war plunges world oil and gas markets into turmoil.

The focus is on how people across the borough can take advantage of non-fossil fuel technology such as solar and electric battery storage to stem the threat of soaring prices.

Information on ways for members of the community to benefit from going green will be available from a group that is being launched by local people who were determined to take action.
