VROU KILLED AND ONE INJURED IN SHOOTING

GUN violence continues to flare up in the gang war zone of Steenberg and Retreat where two were women shot inside a house during the early hours yesterday morning.

The incident took place in Orrel Avenue around 1am where a 35-year-old woman was gunned down and a 39-year-old woman was wounded and rushed to a medical facility for treatment.

Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk confirmed the incident and said the motive for the shooting is gang-related.

Van Wyk reported: “Steenberg police registered a murder and an attempted murder following a shooting incident on Wednesday morning at about 1am at a premises in Orrel Avenue, Retreat, where a 35-year-old female was shot and fatally wounded and a 39-year-old injured.
