Missing Delft meisie reunited with family after she was 'taken in' by strangers for three weeks

THE family of nineyear-old Akahlulwa Qwili from Delft can breathe a sigh of verligting on Wednesday after learning their daughter was found in Crossroads after being missing for almost a month.

Akalulwa was finally reunited with her mense after she vanished from her home in Delft South on 17 November 2025 while playing outside her home with friends.

After an intensive search with the help of police and the Western Cape Missing Persons Unit, her father George Thompson received good news that his little girl has been well taken care of while living with an aunty who found her wandering the streets.

The father explained: "Akahlulwa has been found safe and sound, we are so happy as a family and the community. She has been in Crossroads for three weeks.
