Suspect arrested for rape of a teen

A 37-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested and charged with the trafficking and rape of a 15-year-old girl.
According to the The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (the Hawks), the suspect allegedly lured the meisie to Cape Town under the pretence that she was going to study, but forced her into marriage and was raped.
The Hawks said the teenage girl travelled alone to South Africa in March 2025 after being told she would be relocating to study.
