TWO men were shot dead in separate incidents in Manenberg and Eerste River, as gang and crime violence continues to tear through Cape communities.

A 36-year-old man was found shot dead in Letaba Road, Manenberg, on Monday morning.

Manenberg Community Policing Forum (CPF) spokesperson Abdurahman Govind said the deceased is an alleged Hard Livings member.

Govind explained: “Apparently he was an HL according to the information that we had received. He was apparently shot in the yard.

“It [the incident] is under investigation, detectives were on the scene and paramedics declared him dead.”

Investigating

Police spokesperson Constable Ndakhe Gwala said that Manenberg detectives are investigating a case of murder following the incident.
