From romantic surprises to spontaneous moments in public places, it seems everyone is finding new ways to pop the question. And one couple definitely scored big at Eben Etzebeth’s recent book launch.

The Springbok player was at N1 City Mall to promote his autobiography, Locked, where fans gathered in excitement to meet him and get their books signed.

But amid the rugby cheers and selfies, something truly unexpected happened.

In a clip shared by Bargain Books on Instagram, a man can be seen going down on one knee right in front of Etzebeth and a crowd of onlookers.
