Drug mert suspect soek bail

A SUSPENDED banker who was previously denied bail is set to bring a new application on new facts before the Cape Town Magistrate's Court.

Raed Cupido, 40, and his co-accused Christopher Brice Carelse returned to court yesterday via Audio Visual Remand (AVR) from the Pollsmoor Correctional Facility.

Cupido was arrested on 10 June with 15 bricks of cocaine worth an estimated street value of R18 million, an AK-103 Rifle, Uzi Pro Rifle, five semiautomatic firearms and 130 rounds of ammunition inside of a storage unit that is situated in Roeland Street.
