TRAFFIC cop murder-accused Craig “Krake” De Lilly’s legal team are trying to prove that he was never at the scene of the crime.

- BY KIM SWARTZ

De Lilly returned to the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court yesterday for his bail application in the Walton van Rooyen murder case.

The accused previously faced the same charges in March 2020 when the traffic cop was gunned down in Acre Road, Kensington, on 17 March with his own service pistol after the officer had arrested a taxi driver over a traffic infringement on the corners of 5th Avenue and Voortrekker Road.
