Burn dreaming of facing biggest test in America

DAN BURN admits he cannot stop dreaming about going to a World Cup.

Burn is continuing to age like a fine wine, scaling new peaks as he heads towards the twilight of his career.

The 33-year-old helped Newcastle win the Carabao Cup last season - the club's first domestic silverware in seven decades - when he scored the opening goal in the 2-1 defeat of Liverpool in the final.

Burn’s performances for Eddie Howe's men also earned him his first call-up to the England squad.

He made his debut against Albania in March, and will be hoping to add to his two caps when England face Andorra in a World Cup qualifier at Villa Park today.

But Burn’s ultimate ambition is to be part of the Three Lions squad that hopefully reaches the finals in North America next summer.
