VETERAN hooker Michael Mcllorum was determined to finish his career on his own terms - playing in the Super League Grand Final with a fractured ankle and securing his third title.

Mcllorum had missed the final eight fixtures for Hull KR after suffering the injury during a training session in August.

But the hard-hitting star made yet another remarkable comeback to start in Saturday's 24-6 Old Trafford triumph over his former club, Wigan Warriors, capping off a decorated career in style.
