A “PERSISTENT thief” who was arrested after being detained by an actor who starred as a TV copper has been jailed.
Jeff Stewart, who played PC Reg Hollis for 24 years in ITV series The Bill, grabbed Mohamed Diallo as he tried to flee after stealing from a shop in Southampton.
