Roo poised to make his Marq at Haydock

ILLY'S ROO (3.40) can continue his upward curve at Haydock today.

Tom Marquand (below) rode the two-year-old to a decisive victory at Salisbury 15 days ago and there was a lot to like about how strongly he hit the line.

The inform jockey - 10 winners in the past fortnight - gets the leg-up again in the Safer Gambling With Copybet Handicap and the assessor may have shown some generosity in giving Illy's Roo an opening rating of 73.

It could be a good day for Marquand at the Merseyside track and he can also score on the William Haggas pair ETERNAL FORCE (3.05) and KINSWOMAN (4.50). The jumps season continues to ramp up and at Uttoxeter LOOKAWAY (3.32, nb) should not be missed.
