Bruno a horror for Hammers as Toon boost top-four bid

THE GUIM REAPER

BRUNO GUIMARAES netted the second-half winner to extend Newcastle’s great record at West Ham - and leave Toon fans wishing they could face the Hammers in a Wembley cup final.

Eddie Howe's side are now unbeaten in six away matches against the Hammers as they warmed up for Sunday's Carabao Cup final with a much-needed win.

Harvey Barnes excelled down the left in place of the suspended Anthony Gordon and star striker Alexander Isak came through unscathed.

European football is still possible through the Premier League as Toon climbed to sixth place - level on points with Manchester City - but Liverpool will present a much sterner task as Newcastle seek a first domestic trophy since the 1955 FA Cup.
