Shellshock as tortoise sets house on fire

A FIRE-starting pet tortoise had to be rescued by firefighters after torching its home.

The unnamed reptile knocked over a heat lamp which set fire to hay in its enclosure.

A black dog hiding under the stairs at the property was also saved and returned to its thankful owner.
