24hr-shutdown futile, blast betting chiefs

GAMBLING chiefs have branded the horseracing strike a “futile” gesture.
The Betting & Gaming Council said it was not consulted over the racing shutdown.
Bosses accused organisers of playing politics and warned they could “antagonise” the Government into clobbering the sport of kings even harder.
