Simpson delivers on Barnsley promise

CALLUM SIMPSON never dreamed of playing at Barnsley’s Oakwell Stadium – because he knew he was no good at football.

But he would visit the Yorkshire venue to watch games and believe one day he would fight on the pitch.

Simpson is challenging for the British and Commonwealth supermiddleweight titles against Zak Chelli at the home of his beloved Tykes.

But he is also fulfilling a promise he made to himself when he would go to watch the team as a fan.
