'Name double agent'

PRESSURE was mounting on the Government last night to name the British Army's top spy in the IRA during the Troubles.

Ireland premier Micheál Martin said a major report published yesterday told the “very sordid story” of the activities of the agent known as Stakeknife.

He was widely believed to be Freddie Scappaticci, who died in 2023, aged 77.
