Prop star in form of his life with Trinity

- by DAVE CRAVEN

EVEN Mike McMeeken himself knew it was a "risk" signing for Wakefield but it's one that's reaping dividends.

Eyebrows were raised when the England prop announced he'd be leaving Catalans for Trinity in 2025.

But the promoted club are firmly in the playoff hunt and McMeeken is arguably in the form of his life.

He has been producing consistently high-quality performances as Super League’s best front-row.

McMeeken returns from a two-week injury layoff in this evening's game against Catalans, with Trinity last night also confirming the ‘statement signing’ of Manly hooker Jazz Tevaga from 2026 on a two-year deal.

Ex-Castleford star McMeeken, 31, said: "People always ask me whether it was a risk [signing] and everything.
