FORMER 70s IDYLL NOW PLAGUED BY RATS & LITTER

- by CHARLIE FENTON

Mean Street

A STREET once named “Britain’s best” is now blighted by rats and antisocial behaviour.

Just over 50 years ago, Goldthorpe, in Barnsley, South Yorks, was home to a proud community of locals.
