WES BROWN fears Manchester United's Europa League final defeat to Tottenham could be catastrophic for his former club.

But Brown has urged Sir Jim Ratcliffe to show patience with manager Ruben Amorim and give him the time needed to rebuild his team.

United missed out on a Champions League place and a £100m jackpot following their crushing 1-0 loss to Spurs in Bilbao.

Brown knows the consequences will be damaging for the club.
