Loaner Rashford owes a debt to Villa

MARCUS RASHFORD wants to play Champions League football next season apparently.

Good job he's at a club who still has a chance of achieving that then.

It was strange to see reports emerge just a few hours after a disappointing 2-1 defeat for Villa against Manchester City that Rashford has not decided on his future yet.

Because in January, he agreed to join Villa on loan and the Midlands club have an option to buy him permanently for £40m from Manchester United.

Now we know that all the power is with the player and he has £350,000-a-week wages at Old Trafford.

So that could lead to negotiations on a settlement of those terms to leave if he was to consider taking a pay cut elsewhere.
