PHIL FODEN has no doubts Rico Lewis can follow his footsteps from Manchester City’s academy to become the next big thing at the Etihad. 

Foden remains the only player to make the transition from academy stick by going on to command a regular first-team place as well as making it on the international stage.

City boss Pep Guardiola hailed Lewis’s display against RB Leipzig on Wednesday night, saying he was “one of the best he had trained”.
