Bass is right man for job at Sandown

THE terrain at Wincanton is going to ride quick this afternoon, but one horse who will bounce off it is WICKED THOUGHTS (1.30).

He rocks up in the BetMGM Handicap Chase over three miles and a furlong, and we last sighted him when he obliged on decent ground off a perch of 118 at Taunton in November, so he can take this off a mark of 121.

In the Unibet Middle Distance Veterans' Handicap Chase over two and a half miles at Sandown, CAN YOU CALL (1.50) is going to take all the beating.

Evan Williams' animal scored off a ledge of 121 in a similar contest at Cheltenham three weeks ago, and even a hike up to a new rating of 128 may not be enough to stop the Welsh raider taking the prize back across the Severn Bridge.
