Applegarth's troops will give it everything

YORK will be coming up against a team full of “world-class” players when they host Wigan today.

But, according to Mark Applegarth, that will not stop them from taking the game to their visitors.

The Knights pushed Warriors all the way in March, with Applegarth’s side leading for much of the game at the Brick Community Stadium before being pipped 23-22.

Since then, York have found the going to be tough in their first season in Super League.

They have impressed in spells, but ultimately they have won just one of the nine games they have played since that clash in Wigan and if it was not for the struggling Huddersfield Giants, they would be propping up the table.
