Wellens fury as 'reckless' Leigh star is off hook
FUMING St Helens boss Paul Wellens launched a scathing attack on the RFL after claiming FOUR of his players were left crocked by "reckless" Leigh captain John Asiata.
England stars Alex Walmsley (inset, below) - who will miss the rest of the season and Morgan Knowles were both injured after challenges from the Aussie loose forward in Saints' 12-10 Challenge Cup semifinal defeat.
But Agnatius Paasi won't play again for nine months after Asiata's unconventional attempts to tackle low around the knee while Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook is also sidelined.
